ROSEMONT, Ill. — Northwestern hosts its annual Take a Kid to the Game Day on Saturday, Dec. 30 when the Wildcats welcome Brown to Allstate Arena for an 11 a.m. tip.
Two children 13 and under will be admitted free of charge to the game when an adult purchases or shows a paid ticket at will call. Fans who have already purchased tickets can head to Allstate Arena's East entrance and show their paid ticket to pick up two complimentary tickets for children 13 and under.
Allstate Arena's will call is located in arena's the ticket office, across the street from the North entrance of the arena.
The contest is the final final nonconference game of the season for Northwestern. The Wildcats resume Big Ten Conference play Jan. 2 at home against Nebraska.
Senior guard Bryant McIntosh cracked the top 10 on Northwestern career scoring list in the Wildcats' most recent game at Oklahoma Dec. 22. McIntosh enters Saturday's game with 1,527 career points. He is six points behind Cedric Neloms for ninth place. McIntosh's 630 career assists rank 12th all-time among Big Ten players. He is nine assists away from cracking the top 10 in conference history.
Scottie Lindsey needs eight points to reach 1,000 for his career which would make him the 35th player in Northwestern history to reach the milestone.
Northwestern leads the all-time series with Brown, 7-2. The Wildcats won the most recent meeting between the schools, 69-56, Nov. 17, 2014 in Providence. JerShon Cobb scored 16 points while Sanjay Lumpkin contributed 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Scouting Brown
The Bears (6-5) have won their last two contests including most recently topping Marist, 90-69, Dec. 22. Freshman Desmond Cambridge led Brown with a career-high 33 points, including hitting seven 3-pointers. Sophomore guard Brandon Anderson leads the team with an average of 19.0 points per game while Cambridge contributes 15.6 points per contest. Brown ranks ninth in the nation with a .784 team free throw percentage.
