#B1GCats Conclude Day Two of Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills

ERIN, Wis. — Senior Sam Triplett's 2-over 74 in the second round of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills paced the Wildcats on Monday.
 
The Wildcats, who lead the event with 120 pars, are tied for 11th place after 36 holes at the host site of the 2017 U.S. Open.
 
First year Eric McIntosh's 2.88 stroke average on par-threes over two rounds has helped Northwestern to the second-best mark on such holes at the Marquette-hosted event.
 
Senior Dylan Wu leads all 'Cats thus far, as his 5-over mark is tied for 20th. Sophomore Everton Hawkins is one stroke behind him, shooting his second-straight 75 to sit tied for 27th.
 
Triplett, after making three birdies in Monday's round, is tied for 49th, along with junior Ryan Lumsden. McIntosh rounds out the NU starting lineup at 67th overall.
 
Junior Luke Miller, entered as an individual, is tied for 59th.
 
The Wildcats will finish the tournament Tuesday morning, starting at 9:20 a.m. CT. The tee times are as follows: Eric McIntosh (9:20), Sam Triplett (9:30), Ryan Lumsden (9:40), Everton Hawkins (9:50), and Dylan Wu (10:00).
