EVANSTON, Ill. – Conor Richardson has signed with Northwestern to join the men's golf program for the upcoming 2016-17 season while pursuing his postgraduate degree. He has one year of athletic eligibility remaining and is able to compete immediately.

A native from West Palm Beach, Fla., Richardson comes to Evanston from the University of Florida where he was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree. Richardson, who graduated from Florida with a degree in business administration, was a 2016 U.S. Open local medalist and tied for 25th at the U.S. Open Sectionals.  He also won the 2014 Florida State Four-Ball Championship and as a junior golfer was part of the 2010 State High School Championship team and was named an AJGA All-American in 2011.

"Coach Goss and I are delighted to welcome Conor to the Northwestern family," said head coach David Inglis. "As a fifth year student, he will add tremendous leadership and experience to our team and will be a great role model for the younger guys. I know he is excited to get to Evanston and help us win a Big Ten Championship."
