EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern sends off a trio of seniors Sunday when it takes on Nebraska at Welsh-Ryan Arena in the regular-season finale for both teams. Senior Day ceremonies honoring Tre Demps, Alex Olah and Joey van Zegeren are set for 12:30 p.m.

A victory on Sunday would be Northwestern's 20th which would set a school record for the regular season. The Wildcats won 20 overall games (postseason included) in 2009-10 and again in 2010-11.
Northwestern surged out to a 20-point lead early in the second half and then held on late to post a 71-61 win at Penn State on Thursday night. Tre Demps scored 19 of his game-high 23 points in the first half to lead the Wildcats. Bryant McIntosh contributed 17 points as NU led 42-27 at the intermission after shooting 63 percent from the field over the opening 20 minutes of play. The win was Northwestern's third consecutive at Penn State.
The Wildcats are going for their eighth Big Ten win of the season. Northwestern last won eight conference games during the 2011-12 campaign (8-10).
A win would give Northwestern the No. 9 seed for next week's Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis. The Wildcats can avoid a Wednesday opening-round game with a win, a Penn State loss to Illinois or by a few other tiebreaking scenarios.
Northwestern won the first meeting between the teams 81-72 in the Big Ten opener for both teams on Dec. 30. Freshman Dererk Pardon led the 'Cats with 28 points and 12 rebounds in the second game of his collegiate career.
Scouting Nebraska

Nebraska ranks first in the Big Ten with an average of 7.2 steals per game. Tim Miles is in his fourth season as head coach.
