Southwestern Jones Invitational Up Next for 'Cats

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern continues its spring season next week when it heads to Westlake Village, Calif., to compete at the Southwestern Jones Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins Monday, Feb. 29.
The Southwestern Jones Invitational is played at the par-72, 6,992-yard Lakes and Oaks courses at the North Ranch Country Club.

FORMAT
The two-day, 54-hole Southwestern Jones Invitational tees off at 7:30 a.m. PT on with a shotgun start on Monday and a tandem start on Tuesday. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, and the final 18 on Tuesday.
LAST TIME OUT
Northwestern teed off its spring stroke play season last week at the Puerto Rico Classic. The 'Cats surged three spots over the last two days of competition en route to an eighth-place team. Chicago's Big Ten Team shot 1-over 865 during the three-day, 54-hole tournament at the par-72, 6,945-yard Rio Mar Country Club River Course.
The Wildcats had the best finish of any other Big Ten foe in the 15-team field, including tournament host No. 14 Purdue.
Northwestern had three golfers finish under par at the event. Senior Andrew Whalen paced the Wildcats at 2-under 70 on day two and to finish ninth overall in the individual standings.
