EVANSTON, Ill. – Coming off a convincing season-opening win on Friday, Northwestern's men's basketball team hosts Eastern Washington on Monday at Welsh-Ryan Arena as part of the Legends Classic. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
The contest continues a busy opening stretch for the Wildcats who are opening their season with five games over a 12-day span. Following Monday's game, Northwestern travels to Butler on Wednesday before playing a pair of games in the Legends Classic in Brooklyn next Monday and Tuesday.
The Wildcats opened its 2016-17 campaign with a 94-63 home win over Mississippi Valley State in their season-opener on Friday. Vic Law led five NU players in double-figures with a career-high 18 points as the 'Cats won their ninth straight season-opener. The 'Cats shot 50 percent from the field and had five individuals score in double figures.
Monday's game is the first meeting between Northwestern and Eastern Washington. The Wildcats are 3-0 all-time against members of the Big Sky Conference. NU has one win apiece against Idaho State, Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado.
