Wildcats Lead After 36 Holes at Marquette Intercollegiate

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Sophomore Ryan Lumsden is just one shot off the individual lead and Northwestern sits at the top of the 10-team field at the Marquette Intercollegiate following the opening day of 36-hole action on Sunday at Milwaukee Country Club.
Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. CT on Monday.
Lumsden is one shot off of UCLA's Tyler Collier's pace at 3-under 137 (68-69) after a second round even par. In the morning, Wu started the day with a pair of birdies on the front nine and finished 36 holes with six birdies total. The sophomore finished both rounds at 1-under 69.
Fifth-year senior Andrew Whalen carded a team-best seven birdies to finish the morning round at 2-over 72. He finished up with a 2-under 68 second round and sits in 7th place overall after 36 holes.
Junior Dylan Wu attributed to the Wildcats strong day one effort, shooting 2-over 142 after 36 holes. He finished the day 12th overall.
