EVANSTON, Ill. — Chicago's Big Ten Team will meet No. 2 Notre Dame for a non-conference, neutral site contest on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Toyota Park, home of Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire. Opening whistle is slated for 7 p.m. CT.

LAST TIME OUT
Northwestern enters the contest against Notre Dame fresh off a thrilling 2-1 (OT) win at Rutgers on Friday night (Oct. 14). After trailing the Scarlet Knights for the majority of the game, senior Brandon Medina drilled home his third goal of the season in the 88th minute from the top of the box to equalize the match.

Freshman Mattias Tomasino played the role of hero in the 100th minute when he finished off a pass into the box from Camden Buescher to score the Golden Goal and give Northwestern the victory.

The game-winning goal was the first collegiate goal for Tomasino.

THE OPPONENT
Notre Dame is ranked No. 2 nationally in the latest NSCAA Poll with a 10-2-1 overall record. The Fighting Irish lost for only the second time all season in their last match, 1-0, at No. 21 Virginia.

Jon Gallagher leads Notre Dame with 27 points on a team-best 11 goals and five assists, while Brandon Aubrey has tallied eight goals and one assist.

Chris Hubbard has seen all the action in net this season and has posted seven shutouts with a 0.52 goals against average.

RECENT MEETINGS
Northwestern has only dropped one match to Notre Dame dating back to the 2008 season. The Wildcats own a 3-1-3 advantage in that time, which includes a 1-1 (2OT) draw last season at Toyota Park.
