Wildcats' Offense Quiet in 3-0 Loss Against Seattle

SPOKANE, Wash. — Northwestern was never able to find a groove offensively and gave up three-second half goals to Seattle in suffering its first loss Thursday evening, 3-0.
Sophomore Elo Ozumba put a shot from the right wing on goal in the 55th minute, but Shane Haworth made one of his three saves in the game to keep the 'Cats off the board. Ozumba's shot was the last on goal in the game for the 'Cats as they mustered just three in the game and six shots total.
Hammadi sparked the Redhawks' offense again when they extended their lead to 2-0 in the 66th minute, finding Michael Roberts on the left side of the box where Roberts beat senior Zak Allen for the tally.
Roberts added a second goal in the 85th minute for the final 3-0 tally.
Northwestern will wrap up its trip to Spokane on Saturday when they take on host Gonzaga at 6 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the game for free through GoZags.com.
"Seattle was a very good team," head coach Tim Lenahan said. "They really took advantage of some of our weaknesses today and that is why you play good teams in the beginning of the year. We are still in the growing phase for this team, so we will lick our wounds, get back to training tomorrow and get ready to play a very good Gonzaga team on Sunday.
