Jack Perry Named Unanimous All-Big Ten First Teamer

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern senior Jack Perry (Santa Barbara, Calif./Santa Barbara) has been named a unanimous All-Big Ten first-team selection as voted on by the conference coaches and announced today (May 7).
Northwestern now has had one of the six first-team All-Big Ten members in each of the last five years. The honor is Perry's second first-team nod in a row and his first in unanimous style.
Perry finished in a tie for third at the Big Ten Championships last week to account for his sixth top-10 and fourth top-4 result in 10 team tournaments this season. Outside of an injury plagued season-opening tournament, Perry finished in the top-20 in seven of Northwestern's nine team tournaments.
Perry also competed in the Sun Bowl All-America College Golf Classic in November where he placed 12th overall.
Perry leads Northwestern with a 71.88 stroke average entering next week's NCAA San Antonio Regional, which is exactly the stroke average he compiled at the finish of last season. That total currently is tied for seventh in NU single-season history. Perry has had 16 rounds are par or better and nine in the 60s including a career-best 9-under 63 in the final round of the Puerto Rico Classic in February.
Junior Bennett Lavin (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) was named Northwestern's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree for 2013-14.
