Shropshire Knocked Out of ITA Midwest Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Sam Shropshire made a solid run in the main singles draw at the ITA Midwest Regional, but ultimately fell in the quarterfinals to Ohio State's Mikael Torpegaard.
Shropshire came back after dropping the first set to claim the second frame 6-3. However, Torpegaard, who is in the championship match tomorrow, was able to take the win 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
The 'Cats return to action in two weeks when they travel to Minneapolis for the Big Ten Singles Championship. The tournament will be their third of the fall and runs from Friday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 2.
