Northwestern Begins April Run at NYX Hoosier Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern returns to the course April 7-8 at the NYX Hoosier Invitational hosted by Indiana to begin the first of three tournaments this month, culminating in the Big Ten Championships April 27-29.
NU will be part of a 15-team field that is comprised of Butler, Dayton, Detroit Mercy, Evansville, Illinois State, IPFW, IUPUI, Indiana, Oakland, Ohio, SIU Edwardsville, Western Illinois, Wright State and Youngstown State. There will be no live scoring on Golfstat for this tournament, though some live updates will be offered on Twitter by head coach Pat Goss via @NUGolf_Live.
The tournament will be a 54-hole stroke play event, with 36 holes being played on Saturday and the remaining 18 holes on Sunday at the 6,813-yard, par-71 Indiana University Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind. First round action begins Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. CT. The final round on Sunday will get under way at 9 a.m. ET/8 a.m. CT.
Senior Eric Chun (Ansung City, South Korea/International Christian School) finished second his last time out at the Barona Collegiate Cup. His 11-under 205 put him just three strokes back of the winner. He has five top-10 finishes and four top-2 finishes in seven stroke play events so far this season. Sophomore teammate Jack Perry (Santa Barbara, Calif./Santa Barbara) is coming off a career-best finish of ninth at Barona. His final score was a 9-under 207, which included a career-best final round 6-under 66.
