Sobolewski to Compete in NeXt All-American Classic Sunday

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern men's basketball fans have the opportunity to watch 2011-12 recruit David Sobolewski (Naperville, Ill./Benet Academy) compete in the NeXt All-American Classic at 2 p.m. Sunday. The game is no longer being televised as was originally planned.
The contest is being played at Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and features a mix of local and national talent. More information on the game can be found at http://www.nextallamericanclassic.com.
Sobolewski, a 6-foot-1 point guard who finished fifth in the Illinois Mr. Basketball voting, led Benet Academy to a 29-1 record this season. He averaged 15.2 points, 6.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game as the Redwings cracked the top 10 in the USA Today national high school rankings.
Sobolewski was named a first-team Class 4A all-state selection of the Chicago Sun-Times and a second-team choice of the Associated Press and the Chicago Tribune.
