EVANSTON, Ill. - Adam Schaechterle (Oconomowoc, Wis./Kettle Moraine) and senior Justin Hoeveler (Ross, Calif./The Branson School) opened up play at the Milwaukee Classic hosted by Marquette Wednesday, Nov. 3.
Schaechterle won two matches on the day. In the round of 64, he did not allow his opponent, Sean Coetzee, to win a single game as Schaechterle cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory. In the round of 32, he defeated Paul Newman 6-3, 6-4.
Hoeveler dropped a tight opening match to Mikey Kantar 7-6, 7-6. He later lost in a consolation round to Joerg Barthel 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
