Women's Soccer Falls to Wolverines, 2-0

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's soccer team dropped its fourth game of the year, 2-0, to the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor, Friday afternoon. The Wildcats fall to 2-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in conference play. Michigan improves to 3-4-0 overall and 2-1-0 in the Big Ten.
U-of-M took the 1-0 lead nine minutes into the game when Theresea Dwyer took an Abby Crumpton pass and found the back of the Wildcat net. They extended their lead midway through the second half when Kate Morgan found the NU netting to finish the scoring. Wolverine goalie Suzie Grech recorded the shutout, saving four shots in the allotted 90 minutes.
NU goalkeeper, Susan McCreedy (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) upped her season save total to 26, saving five in the losing effort.
Kase McCoy (Medina, Ohio/Medina), Carolyn Hack (Downer's Grove, Ill./North) and Kristin Pearce (Morrison, Colo./Bear Creek) led the Wildcat offense as each recorded two shots.
Northwestern is at Michigan State Sunday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
