Men's Tennis Sweeps Oregon, 7-0

Evanston, Ill. - The Northwestern men's tennis team took all nine matches from Oregon Sunday afternoon to finish off an impressive weekend in which they beat two ranked teams. Brad Erickson (Eugene, Ore./South Eugene), playing in his hometown, went undefeated in both singles and doubles over the weekend, as the 41st-ranked `Cats rolled to a 4-0 start on the season.
The Wildcats dropped just one set to the Ducks, as Josh Axler (Huntington, NY/Walt Whitman) needed three sets to defeat Jason Menke (1-6, 7-5, 6-3). Jackie Jenkins (College Park, Ga./Westlake), who has taken over the top position in the ladder, easily handled Oregon's Oded Teig, 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles play, Axler and Ryan Edlefsen crushed Oregon's No. 3 pair, 8-1, to lead an NU sweep.
