Luke Donald Falls In Semifinals at U.S. Amateur

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern golfer Luke Donald lost to James Driscoll (Brookline, Mass.) in the semifinal round of match play at the 100th U.S. Amateur Championship. Donald was defeated by Driscoll, 2 and 1.
Donald's semifinal appearance marks the furthest that an NU golfer has advanced in any of the 100 U.S. Amateur championships. He leaves from Springfield, N.J., immediately to join his Wildcat teammates in Berlin for the World Amateur.
