NCAA Mens Golf Central Regionals Begin Thursday

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The 12th-ranked Northwestern men's golf team begins play tomorrow (Thu., May 20) at the NCAA Central Regionals, being played at Ohio State's Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio (par 72 - 7,100 yards). The 54-hole tournament runs through Sat., May 22, with one round being played each day.
The Big Ten Champion Wildcats will be paired with Nebraska and Texas in the tournament's first two rounds. The Wildcats are scheduled to tee off at 11:39 a.m. EDT on Thursday and 8:15 a.m. EDT on Friday. Saturday's final-round pairings are determined by the team standings after 36 holes.

A total of 21 teams have earned a berth into the Central Regionals. The top 10 teams, plus the top two individuals not on those teams, will advance to the NCAA Championships, scheduled for June 2-5 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn. Seeds for the Central Regionals are listed below along with that schools highest national ranking from either the Golfweek, Golfstat or Mastercard standings.
