Trevor Marcus enters his first season as an assistant coach and director of video operations for Northwestern in 2026-27.

Formerly the head video coordinator on Jon Scheyer’s staff at Duke, Marcus brings a significant infusion of advanced analytical knowledge and video experience to the Wildcats. While at Duke, was responsible for in-game video management with coaches and players and oversaw the replay system for coaches’ challenges. Marcus assisted with every scouting report for the season, providing video and advanced analytics reports. He previously served as Duke’s assistant video coordinator from 2021 to 2025.

Marcus’ time in Durham dates back to 2017, when he was an undergraduate student manager for the Blue Devils. At Duke, he helped direct the team’s live and future scouting and partnered with assistant coaches on gameplan design.

During his time in Durham, Marcus worked alongside his brother, Zach Marcus, a former Duke basketball manager who rose to the program’s director of scouting and analytics before departing for a job with the Toronto Raptors organization. He also assisted at basketball camps under both Coach K and Jon Scheyer.

Marcus graduated from Duke with a bachelor of arts in Public Policy in 2021.
