MJ Onyeaghala joined the team in June 2026 as a Program Assistant. In this role, she assists with a variety of operational efforts, including managing event invitations, coordinating event run-of-show logistics, supporting program administration, and helping ensure events and initiatives are executed smoothly from planning through completion. 

MJ recently graduated from Illinois State University, where she earned a Master of Science in Sport Management and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. 

During her time at Illinois State, MJ was actively involved in student organizations, including the Women in Business Association and the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc. She also gained valuable hands-on experience as a Game and Event Operations Intern with Illinois State Athletics, a role she held for nearly two years. In this position, she supported the planning and execution of athletic events, helping to create positive experiences for student-athletes, fans, and community members. 

MJ resides in Chicago, Illinois.
