Christine McBeath joined the Northwestern coaching staff in January of 2026.

Most recently an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at George Mason University, she also previously held assistant coach positions at the University of Utah and Stanford after finishing her collegiate career at St. John’s University. 
 
"Christine is going to be a great addition to our program," head coach Michael Moynihan said. "She was a collegiate team captain at St. John's and graduated summa cum laude, so she can help our players manage the balance of vigorous academics with elite athletics. As a coach, she is energetic, passionate about soccer, and has already gained valuable collegiate coaching experience working under some great coaches. Our student-athletes will benefit greatly by having another strong role model and mentor."

During her time at George Mason, senior captain Zoë Vidaurre was named Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference, the first Patriot to receive postseason all-conference honors since 2016.

Prior to her tenure at George Mason, McBeath spent three seasons at Utah. During her tenure in Salt Lake City, she worked with the defensive unit to reduce their goals against average from 1.50 to 1.12 and lowered their shots allowed per game from 13.0 to 11.4.

McBeath has also coached at the U.S. Youth National Team level and is part of the USYNT Scouting Network. She has experience as an assistant coach, being called into camps with the U15 and U14 age groups. 

As a player at St. John's, she made 55 starts in 66 appearances and was named a captain in her senior season, leading the team in minutes played in 2019. 

McBeath currently holds a USSF "B" License and graduated summa cum laude from St. John's with a degree in finance from the Tobin College of Business in December of 2019.
