Amy Blackbourn serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Development at Northwestern University, where she leads major gift fundraising efforts supporting Northwestern Athletics. She has played a key role in significant initiatives, including the $24 million-plus campaign for Kirkpatrick Softball Stadium and the New Ryan Field project. She also serves as the department liaison to Legends and the New Ryan Field Campaign and oversees premium seating sales for Welsh-Ryan Arena and New Ryan Field.
Since joining Northwestern Athletics in 2021, Blackbourn has helped drive record-setting fundraising efforts, including a highly successful National Student-Athlete Day campaign. In 2024, she received the NAADD Jason Galaska Rising Star Award, a national honor recognizing emerging leaders in collegiate athletics development.
Previously, Blackbourn held development and premium seating roles with the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department and Legends, including work on the $77 million CR Future project at Camp Randall Stadium. Earlier in her career, she served as a Financial Specialist in Wisconsin’s Athletic Business Office, supporting all 23 varsity programs and helping implement department-wide contract management systems.
Blackbourn earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
