Abi Scheid joined the team in July 2026 as Assistant Director of Operations. In her current role, she oversees a wide range of operational efforts, including event planning and execution, project management, stakeholder communications, and the coordination of processes that support the organization's strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations. 

Abi began her professional career in collegiate athletics at Loyola University Chicago, where she served as Director of Basketball Operations for three years. During her time at Loyola, she managed team operations, coordinated travel logistics, supported recruiting and program administration efforts, and earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA).  

Returning to Northwestern after six years, Abi is no stranger to the Northwestern Athletics community. From 2016 to 2020, she was a standout member of the Northwestern Women's Basketball Team, serving as a three-time team captain and helping lead the Wildcats to a Big Ten Championship in 2020. In her senior season, she earned First Team All-Big Ten honors, recognizing her excellence both as a player and team leader. Abi graduated with a Bachelors in Learning and Organizational Change from the School of Education and Social Policy.  

Abi resides in Chicago, Illinois, originally from Elk River, Minnesota.
