Kiara Scott joined Northwestern Athletics as the Assistant Director of Compliance in August 2024. Scott supports compliance efforts for various Wildcat sports including field hockey, softball, cross country, fencing, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving.
Prior to arriving at Northwestern, Scott was the Assistant Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services at Loyola Chicago for two years. Before joining the Ramblers, Scott was the Coordinator of Athletics Compliance and Community Service at Lindenwood University and got her start in intercollegiate athletics as the Compliance and Student Programming Intern at the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The Indianapolis, Indiana native obtained her first master’s degree from Indiana University while studying kinesiology with an emphasis in applied sport science. She later returned to school and received her second master’s degree in sport management from the University of Indianapolis. Scott was a former student-athlete in women’s basketball and track and field at Earlham College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology.
Scott is an active member of the National Association of Athletics Compliance (NAAC), Women Leaders in Sports, and the Minority Opportunities Athletics Association (MOAA). Currently, she serves on the Membership and Awards Committee with NAAC and the Rising Stars Committee with MOAA.
Scott was selected to the MOAA Rising Stars Program, NAAC Athletic Compliance Elite (ACE) Mentoring Program, the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar (ELS), and two Women Leaders in Sports programs: Women’s Leadership Symposium (WLS) and Institute for Advancement (IA).
