Andrew Howe
Andrew Howe
A decorated collegiate and international wrestler, Andrew Howe was hired as an assistant coach on May 24, 2016, Howe was promoted to associate head coach on January 31, 2018. Working primarily with the middleweights, Howe has helped lift the entire wrestling program during his two-year stint with the Wildcats.

Howe arrives in Evanston after serving as an assistant at Oklahoma for the past two seasons.

The 2010 national champion at 165 lbs. wrestled his senior season at Oklahoma in 2014 after three years at Wisconsin. He was dominant at both schools, racking up four All-America honors and winning three Big Ten titles, while compiling a 122-10 career record. He never finished lower than third at the NCAA Championships.
 
Howe has also had success on the world stage, winning the 2010 U.S. Open freestyle championship. He was a 2009 junior world bronze medalist and a runner-up at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympic trials.
 
The Cedar Lake, Ind. native was a three-time Indiana high school state champion and posted a 192-1 record.
 
Howe also brings a strong academic pedigree to Northwestern as he was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team and the NWCA Division I All-Academic Team in 2014.
