Faith Canfield joined the Northwestern coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the Fall of 2019 after concluding a stellar four-year career at the University of Michigan.
As a second baseman for the Wolverines, Canfield was a three-time NFCA All-Region and All-Big Ten first team honoree and earned NFCA third team All-American accolades in back-to-back seasons (2017-18). In her senior season in 2019, she had a career year at the plate posting a .404 batting average while tallying career highs with 57 runs, 78 hits and a .482 on-base percentage from the leadoff spot.
The Garden Grove, Calif. native was also named to the All-Big Ten Defensive team in each of her last two seasons for her play at second base. She will be pursuing a master's degree in sport administration while at Northwestern.
