2011-12: Enjoyed a breakout season in the distance stroke events, ranking on Northwestern's top times list in five different events despite missing the Big Ten Championships due to injury ... Was second in the 1,000 free, 200 back and 200 IM, fourth in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 fly ... Won his first-career dual-meet race with a 500 free victory against Big Ten foe Wisconsin (11/11) ... Followed that up with another win in the 200 free the next day versus UIC and North Dakota (11/12) ... Had 10 total top-three dual-meet finishes on the season ... First, chopped 10 seconds from his career-best in the 500 free to make the consolation final with an NCAA `B' provisional qualifying time of 4:22.48 before taking 15th overall ... That time places him fourth on NU's all-time top times list in the event ... Cut more than two seconds from his career-best time in the 200 free to qualifying for the bonus final of the 200 free with an NCAA `B' cut of 1:38.11, ending up 19th overall ...
