A Northwestern basketball alumni, JerShon Cobb was named Director of Player Development by Sullivan-Ubben Head Men’s Basketball Coach Chris Collins in 2018. He enters his fifth season on staff in 2022-23.
Cobb graduated from Northwestern in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in African American studies. The Decatur, Georgia, native appeared in 94 games, posting a career scoring average of 8.3 points per game and finished his career with a .405 field goal percentage. Cobb played two seasons under Collins and served as a team captain during the 2014-15 season.
After graduating from Northwestern, Cobb played professionally in the NBA G League and Canadian Basketball League in 2015-16. Cobb spent the last two years (2016-18) coaching AAU basketball and teaching at an elementary school in his hometown of Decatur, Georgia.
