Drew Smith was elevated to Director of College Scouting in September 2025 after serving as a recruiting and scouting analyst since June 2024.
Smith is a 2015 graduate of Northwestern University where he was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree while playing linebacker for the Wildcats football team.
After graduating from Northwestern, Smith worked for Pepsico for five years. He returned to his alma mater in 2021 as a football operations intern and coordinated travel for coaches during recruiting periods, planned recruiting strategies during official visits and tracked transfer portal entries. Smith also spent time at Eastern Michigan as a recruiting and operations assistant, then at the University of Minnesota in 2022-23, working in the recruiting and personnel department.
A Cincinnati, Ohio, native, Smith is pursuing a Master of Information Design and Strategy, UX/UI, at Northwestern.
