Together We Win

Together We Win
‘Together We Win’

Overview
The Department of Athletics and Recreation strives to celebrate the amazing Northwestern, Evanston, and surrounding communities. The support, connectivity, and engagement with these communities propel us towards excellence on and off the playing field. We believe that Together We Win! With this commitment, we will feature one ‘Together We Win’ game across all Northwestern varsity teams that host a home competition during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Together We Win Gear
For each of the highlighted games, teams will wear Together We Win warm-up shirts. This design features a negative space block N logo progressively assembling itself from multiple pieces into one final purple N representing the synergy that is reflected in our expansive community. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts: Together We Win.

Spotlights
Utilizing our most visible platform - game day, when communities come together - student-athletes will work with their teams to identify game-day spotlights that serve to elevate and celebrate the incredible leaders that are making a positive impact in our communities. Spotlights include:

Community Leader Spotlight
The Community Leader Spotlight seeks to recognize community leaders who are making a positive impact on the Northwestern and/or surrounding communities.

Community Collaboration
Youth groups who promote growth, development, and empowerment for young people will be invited to attend home sporting contests. In addition to game attendance, experiences beyond the game may be inclusive of a tour of the athletic facilities, meet-and-greet with coaches and student-athletes, or a student-athlete panel.

Business Spotlight
The Business Spotlight seeks to highlight a local business or a business that is making a positive impact in the Evanston, Northwestern, and/or surrounding communities.

Fan Code of Conduct
Northwestern University and the Big Ten Conference take great pride in the conduct of all student-athletes. Coaches instruct their players to treat their opponents and officials with respect. We expect you to cheer for your favorite team during the game while demonstrating to all attendees the same kind of respect that we would expect to be shown.

Northwestern explicitly prohibits any and all forms of discrimination and harassment of students, coaches, staff, officials, or guests, based on characteristics including, but not limited to, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability status, veteran status or any other characteristic. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in removal from an athletic event, and a possible ban from attending future events.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
