
Entrances
All entrances to Welsh-Ryan Arena are on street level and accessible for persons with disabilities. Please note, only the door at the east and west end of the main entrance have the automatic door opener. Welsh-Ryan Arena does have metal detectors and all bags will need to be checked upon arrival. Patrons who are unable to go through the metal detector will need to be hand-wanded.
Accessible Seating:
Accessible seating is ticketed and located on the 100 and 200 levels of the arena. Accessible seating is available behind sections 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 114, 201, 207, and 217 and you must have a ticket for the seating section. If you need seating in these areas, please contact the ticket office at 888-GO-PURPLE (467-8775) prior to arrival. Please be advised that exchanges and relocations are subject to wheelchair & companion seat availability and are accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Assisted Listening
Assisted listening devices are available upon request. If you need an assisted listening device, please visit the Fan Services person located the lobby of Welsh-Ryan Arena..
Elevator Access:
There are 4 public elevators in Welsh-Ryan Arena and they are located in each corner of the arena and will access the main and upper levels.
Restrooms:
All public restrooms in Welsh-Ryan Arena are accessible to guests with disabilities. In addition, there are 4 public accessible family restrooms. They are located on the event level in the southwest corner, on the main level in the northeast corner, and on the upper level in the northeast corner and southwest corner.
Parking:
Single-game accessible parking is located in the lot adjacent to Gate T of Ryan Field and in the East and West parking lot. Single-game accessible parking is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis and the rate is the same as the East or West Lot. All fans who park in the designated ADA accessible parking spaces must have a valid disabled parking placard or license plate issued by their home state.
Season accessible parking is located in the lot adjacent to Gate T of Ryan Field as well as in the East or West lot.
Service Animals
Northwestern has adopted the Service, Assistance, and Other Animals at Northwestern Policy (https://policies.northwestern.edu/docs/animal-policy-final-012717.pdf), which provides guidance on the appropriate use of and protocols associated with service, assistance and other animals on campus.
