Registration is now open for the tenth annual Randy Walker Memorial 5K, supported by Northwestern Medicine. This year's race will be held virtually in order to ensure the safety of all participants. Our virtual race means you can run or walk 3.1 miles at any time, at any pace, between Aug 15th - Aug 22nd! You can run or walk in any city, state, or country! Strollers and pets are always allowed on this course. Simply track your time, and then use the form that will be emailed to you to submit your results!
For the last decade, Northwestern Athletics & Recreation has hosted the event to commemorate former head football coach Randy Walker. You can read more about Coach Walker's legacy here.
The free race will open at 6am on Sunday, August 15th and closes at midnight on Sunday, August 22nd. Participants will be able to submit their times online through the race website.
All participants will receive a virtual bib and a customized virtual finisher certificate. Virtual bibs and race packet will be emailed to all participants by August 2, 2021.
