What do Tampa Bay, New York City, Nashville, and San Diego all have in common?  They are each a location the Wildcats have played a bowl game in the last four years!  There’s no telling what the 2019-20 football season will bring, however you can be a part of it!  Northwestern Football ended the season as Big Ten West Champions, as well as SDCCU Holiday Bowl Champions, with a fabulous come from behind win in San Diego!  The Wildcats are looking forward to a great 2019-20 season.  With regular season football games at Stanford, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Indiana and Illinois, great travel opportunities exist for the 2019-2020 cheer team!  And you can’t forget that in 2020 Northwestern Football will, once again, play at historic Wrigley Field!  Northwestern Cheerleaders cheer at all home and away football games.  You have a chance to cheer at some of the most storied stadiums in college athletics.  The NU Cheerleaders also cheer at all home men’s and women’s basketball games, as well as assorted basketball tournaments around the country, and school and alumni events throughout the year.  Great opportunities abound!

The Northwestern Cheer Team is funded by Northwestern Athletics, and there is no cost to participate. Cheer Team members receive uniforms, warmups, shoes, practice gear and more. Some members of the team may receive a grant based on financial need. This is determined after the completion of each season.

The Northwestern Cheerleaders are a non-competitive cheer team.  Never thought about being on a non-competitive team?  Think again!  Imagine being on TV every week, your friends and family constantly sending you screen shots of yourself!  Imagine performing in front of 40, 000, 60,000, 80,000 and even 100,000 fans each Saturday, doing exactly what you love!
