Amonte Hiller Reaches 400 Career Wins in 17-12 Victory at No. 18 Penn State

4/12/2026 12:55:00 PM | Women's Lacrosse

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Combe Family Head Lacrosse Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller earned her 400th career win as No. 4 Northwestern secured a 17-12 victory over No. 18 Penn State on Sunday morning at Panzer Stadium.

Amonte Hiller is the sixth coach in Division I women's lacrosse history to reach this milestone. She joins North Carolina's Jenny Levy as the only active coaches to win at least 400 games at a single Division I program.

The Wildcats (11-3, 5-1 Big Ten) launched a 7-0 run from the 6:39 mark of the second quarter to the third quarter's 5:58 mark to distance themselves from the Nittany Lions (11-4, 3-3 Big Ten). NU has picked up seven ranked victories in 2026, its most in a regular season since 2018.

Ten 'Cats scored goals in a balanced attacking performance.

Senior attacker Madison Taylor netted a game-high six goals and dished out three assists. Taylor leads the Big Ten in points (92) and goals (68) this season and has scored at least nine points in five games this year.

Junior midfielder Noel Cumberland and sophomore attacker Aditi Foster both chipped in a pair of goals. Cumberland is on a 12-game points streak, the longest of her collegiate career, while Foster has nabbed at least two points in six consecutive games.

Junior attacker Taylor Lapointe, senior attacker Maddie Epke, first-year midfielder Kate Ratanaproeksa, junior midfielder Lauren Archer, redshirt junior attacker Abby LoCascio, sophomore midfielder Hannah Rudolph and graduate student midfielder Annabel Child each scored a goal.

Senior attacker Lucy Munro thrived as a facilitator, recording two assists.

The 'Cats commanded the possession battle, outdrawing Penn State 21-9. Epke led the effort in the circle, pulling down a game-high 10 draw controls. Epke has amassed double digit draw controls in two games this season. Cumberland racked up a career-high five draw controls, while Ratanaproeksa tallied three.

The visitors outshot the Nittany Lions 42-27, including a 29-18 margin in shots on goal. NU's shot total marked its highest in a conference game this season.

The Wildcats will return to Northwestern Medicine Field for their final Big Ten home game against RV Rutgers on Wednesday, April 15. Opening draw from Evanston is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT on B1G+.
