‘Cats Open Postseason This Weekend At CCFC Championships

Team competition begins at 8:40 a.m. CT on Saturday morning
EVANSTON, Ill. (February 20, 2026) – No. 6 Northwestern fencing kicks off postseason competition this weekend when it travels to Granville, Ohio for the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference (CCFC) Championships. The Wildcats enter the postseason on a tear, having won 21 of their last 23 matchups in dual competition.
Denison University will play host to the 2026 edition of the CCFC Championships inside Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. Northwestern, the event's top seed, begins action in the team competition on Saturday morning at 8:40 a.m. CT, opening a six-dual slate against Detroit Mercy. A marquee showdown with defending CCFC Champion No. 7 Ohio State closes out the day at 3 p.m. CT.
The individual section takes center stage on Sunday, with competition across all three weapons beginning at 7 a.m. CT.

Sunday, February 22 (Individual Competition)
7 a.m. CT – Senior Women's Epee
7 a.m. CT – Senior Women's Foil
7 a.m. CT – Senior Women's Sabre
Piloted by five-time CCFC Women's Team Coach of the Year Zach Moss, the Wildcats seek to claim their second conference team crown in three seasons on Saturday. Moss' crew is also poised for a strong showing in Sunday's individual competition, with four returning First Team All-CCFC picks from last season set to be in action.
