GLENCOE, Ill. – Following three rounds at the par-71, 6,361-yard Lake Shore Country Club, the Northwestern women’s golf team concluded play on Tuesday at the Windy City Collegiate Classic in ninth place.
The Wildcats opened with a combined score of 302 in the first round, following it up with a 287 as the day went on. With winds picking up on the final day, the ‘Cats posted a score of 295 in their final round, giving Northwestern a 54-hole score of 884 (302-287-295). Stanford claimed the team title with a score of 856 (287-272-297), while Virginia’s Jaclyn LaHa taking medalist honors at 7 under par.
Pacing the ‘Cats on the leaderboard was Ashley Yun, who carded an even-par 71 in her second round to place in a share of 14th.
Coming in 28th was Rebecca Wang, who carded an even-par 71 in her final round to follow up a 1-under 70 in her second round, while Hsin Tai Lin placed three shots back of Wang in a share of 36th. Emilie Knai carded an even-par 71 in her second round to place in 56th, while Megan Meng rounded out the lineup in 59th.
On the individual side, Lauren E. Lee carded an even-par 71 to place in 57th, while Judy Joo came home in 63rd in her Wildcat debut.
Rebecca Wang carded the low-round of the week for the 'Cats, firing a 1-under 70 in her second round.Â
