EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern Softball has reached an agreement to play its 2026 home schedule at The Ballpark at Rosemont as the program's on-campus home undergoes a transformative rebuild.
Northwestern will play 12 home games at the venue, located inside the Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, Illinois. Considered Chicagoland's home for professional softball, the site has previously hosted four world championships for the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) League, the IHSA Girl's Softball Super Sectional's, the Big East Tournament and currently serves as one of the homes of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), hosting Opening Day of the league's inaugural 2025 season.
A temporary home is required for the 2026 season due to construction at Kip & Sara Kirkpatrick Stadium, which began in September 2025 and is anticipated to be completed by summer 2026. Once finished, Kirkpatrick Stadium will feature new dugouts, a full locker room and lounge with a clubhouse connected to the home dugout, brand new sports medicine facilities, a new seating bowl and concourse with chairback seating, premium seating options, upgraded restrooms, an expansive press box to support full television and radio coverage, a new main entrance with courtyard space for tailgating and special events, and improved ADA accessibility throughout the facility.
A complete schedule for Northwestern's 2026 season will be released later this week. All 12 home games in Rosemont will be played against Big Ten opponents.
Tickets for Northwestern's 2026 home schedule at The Ballpark Rosemont will be available for purchase on a single-game basis. Additional ticketing information, including on-sale dates and pricing, will be announced following the release of the full schedule.
The Big Ten schedule, which was previously announced in summer 2025, is listed below. Dates and start times will be subject to change due to television selections.
