EVANSTON, Ill. (January 31, 2026) – As the calendar turns to February, Northwestern (8-13, 2-8 B1G) closes out a stretch of three of four games away from home with a 1 p.m. CT Sunday afternoon encounter against Indiana inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.
LAST TIME OUT
Grace Sullivan eclipsed 1,000 points for her collegiate career as host Nebraska defeated Northwestern by a final score of 89-73 last Wednesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb. Sullivan reached double figures in scoring for the 19th time this season, a mark which leads the Wildcat roster, as she finished with 16 points, five rebounds, and a block.
Tayla Thomas led the Wildcat attack on the night, pouring in a team-high 19 points. Thomas came close to her sixth double-double of the campaign, adding eight rebounds, in addition to a career-high three steals.
Casey Harter continued her impressive work on the offensive end of late, contributing 14 points. Harter, who played all 40 minutes for the second time in 2025-26, is averaging 12.0 points across Northwestern's last five games. Like Harter, Caroline Lau reached double figures in scoring for the fourth time in five games, chipping in 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
SCOUTING INDIANA
Currently mired in a nine-game skid, Indiana (11-11, 0-10 B1G) enters February still in search of its first Big Ten win, having dropped its first 10 conference contests. The Hoosiers most recently fell to No. 9 Michigan, 95-67, this past Thursday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
Two-time Big Ten Head Coach of the Year Teri Moren boasts the conference's premier offensive threat in Shay Ciezki. Ciezki, who earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors as a sophomore at Penn State, ranks fifth in the nation in scoring, averaging a Big Ten-best 23.1 points per game. She has five games of at least 30 points this season, including a season-high 38-point outburst against No. 10 Iowa State back on November 30.
Led by a 46-percent clip from distance by Ciezki, Indiana sits second on the league's three-point field goal percentage leaderboard, operating at 38.2 percent.
After missing all of last season due to a knee injury, Lenée Beaumont has enjoyed an impressive comeback season, ranking second in the team in scoring (13.5 ppg), while dishing out a team-best 3.0 assists per contest.
SERIES STUFF
Currently riding a seven-game win streak against the Wildcats, Indiana owns a 46-39 (.541) lead across 85 all-time meetings with Northwestern on the hardwood in women's basketball.
The Hoosiers have picked up back-to-back wins over the 'Cats at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Northwestern's last victory in the Hoosier State came on January 16, 2020 when Northwestern rallied from a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to secure a 71-69 overtime victory.
Northwestern pushed Indiana to the limit last season at Welsh-Ryan Arena, taking a one-point edge with just over 90 seconds remaining in regulation, but ultimately came up short in a 68-64 defeat.

Northwestern begins a two-game homestand on Thursday, February 5 when it welcomes USC to Welsh-Ryan Arena for an 8 p.m. CT tip-off on Big Ten Network.
