Northwestern Fencing Releases 2026-27 Schedule

2026-27 Schedule Opens in a new window

EVANSTON, Ill. (September 9, 2026) – Northwestern fencing will host a pair of home competitions during the 2026-27 season according to the schedule announced by Wildcats’ head coach Zach Moss on Wednesday.

Northwestern will raise the curtain on its 2026-27 season in the familiar surroundings of Ryan Fieldhouse, where it will host the Remenyik ROC/RJCC (Sept. 26-27).  After competing at USA Fencing’s October North American Cup (NAC), October 9-12, Moss’ crew will get its first taste of dual action when it jets west to San Diego, Calif. for the Western Invitational (Nov. 7-8).

Following trips to the November NAC (Nov. 20-23) and January NAC (Jan. 8-11), the ‘Cats open a busy January with back-to-back visits out east, competing at the Tufts Invitational (Jan. 17) and the Penn State Invitational (Jan. 23).

Northwestern closes out its regular season dual slate by returning to the friendly confines of Ryan Fieldhouse for the Schiller Duals, January 30-31.

After taking part in the February NAC (Feb. 12-15), postseason competition kicks into high gear, beginning with a trip to Cleveland, Ohio, where Northwestern will look to defend its Central Collegiate Fencing Conference (CCFC) title at the CCFC Championships, February 20-21.

The University of Notre Dame will play host to the NCAA Midwest Regional on March 14, while Duke University’s Cameron Indoor Stadium will serve as the host site for the NCAA Championships, March 27-28.

Northwestern will conclude its 2026-27 slate by sending a select group of student-athletes to the April NAC, April 16-19.

“We’re excited for a great slate of events this season and for the opportunity to compete in great locations. Our team is primed to build off a great season last year and keep working towards a National Championship. We believe this schedule will set us up well in that pursuit and we are looking forward to the challenge.”

Zach Moss - Northwestern Fencing Head Coach

Fresh off leading the ‘Cats to their second CCFC team crown in three seasons, Moss welcomes back a strong core from last season, a group that includes United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) Second Team All-American Elaine Lu.  Lu, who placed seventh in the sabre at the 2026 NCAA Championships, is also one of four returning All-CCFC selections.
