EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern lacrosse announced Lucy Munro as its newest addition to Combe Family Head Lacrosse Coach Kelly Amonte Hiller’s staff, after four years as a member of the Lake Show.
As a player, Munro helped lead the Wildcats to National Championships in 2023 and 2026. In her senior season, she appeared in all 22 games (eight starts) in attack and totaled 22 points (9g, 13a), 10 ground balls and two caused turnovers. Munro helped lead her team to a Big Ten regular-season title and Big Ten Tournament championship in 2026, both of which were the fourth straight of her career. The final game of her playing career saw Munro and the ’Cats capture glory as the 2026 National Champions on home turf in Evanston.
Originally from Denver, Colo., coaching has always been a significant part of Munro’s life. She has spent years coaching youth lacrosse and is passionate about sharing her love for the game and helping the next generation of athletes grow. Her father, Jamie Munro, served as the head lacrosse coach for Denver for 10 years after a seven-year stint as an assistant coach at Yale. Munro’s brother, Colin, currently serves as the offensive coordinator for Jacksonville Men’s Lacrosse.
While coaching at Northwestern, Munro will pursue her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at The Family Institute at Northwestern, blending her passion for lacrosse and her interest in mental health and athlete development.
