Caroline Lau Inks Professional Contract With Manchester Basketball

EVANSTON, Ill. (September 4, 2026) – Former Northwestern University women’s basketball guard Caroline Lau (Westport, Conn./St. Luke’s School) has signed a professional contract with Manchester Basketball, the organization announced on Friday. 

Lau was a fixture on the floor over the course of the last four seasons with the Wildcats, starting in 87 of her 116 appearances.  The 5-foot-9 guard piled up 652 assists during her career, a mark that ranks third all-time in Wildcat annals.  She dished out 10-plus assists on 16 occasions.

After earning Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Conference accolades as a junior in 2024-25, Lau put together an outstanding senior campaign this past season.  The Westport, Conn. product started in all 29 games, averaging a Division I-best 8.4 assists per contest. 

Lau, who had nine outings with double-digit helpers, closed the year with 245 total assists. She turned in arguably one of her top all-around performances against Rutgers on January 11, dishing out a single-game program-record tying 16 assists, in addition to adding 12 points and eight rebounds in a resounding 73-54 victory.

A member of Super League Basketball (SLB), the top-tier women’s basketball league in Great Britain, Manchester Basketball is coming off a successful 2025-26 season in which the team enjoyed a run to the SLB Cup Final, a domestic competition, and qualified for the SLB Playoffs.
