CHARLESTON, S.C. – Northwestern men’s basketball has announced it will compete in the 2026 Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20 and Sunday, Nov. 22 at TD Arena.Â
The Wildcats join Dayton, Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Utah and Virginia Tech to complete the six-team field. This year's event will consist of three standalone games on each day, with each team playing one game on November 20 and one game on November 22. Matchups, tip-off times and ESPN network designations for all games will be announced in the coming months.
Northwestern returns to the Charleston Classic for the first time since winning the event in 2011. Drew Crawford averaged 24.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, earning MVP honors as the Wildcats picked up wins over LSU (88-82), Tulsa (69-65) and Seton Hall (80-73) to claim the multi-team event crown.Â
