EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern University today announced a three-year, $35 million commitment from the Uihlein family to support the continued growth and success of its football program.
The commitment will support student-athlete development, operational priorities, recruiting, and strategic investments designed to position Northwestern Football for sustained success in the Big Ten and on the national stage.
"We are deeply grateful to the Uihlein family for their extraordinary generosity and commitment to Northwestern University," said Combe Family Vice President of Athletics and Recreation Mark Jackson. "Their support will help us continue building a program that delivers an exceptional student-athlete experience while competing at the highest level of college football."
“The outstanding generosity from the Uihlein family is another major boost to Wildcat athletics,” said University President Mung Chiang. “Northwestern is proud to be the only Top 10 university in the country playing in a Power 2 conference and we strongly support our athletic program and student-athletes.”
The commitment comes as Northwestern prepares to open the new Ryan Field, a privately funded stadium made possible through the transformative philanthropy of Northwestern alumni Pat and Shirley Ryan. Together, these investments reflect a growing commitment to the future of Wildcat Football and the success of the student-athletes who represent the University.
