EVANSTON, Ill. – Junior forward Kennedy Roesch has been named an NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Player to Watch by the IWSOC and United Soccer Coaches.
Roesch earns the preseason recognition following a standout sophomore season with the Wildcats, tallying 10 goals and three assists and earning All-Big Ten, United Soccer Coaches All-North Region and United Soccer Coaches All-American honors.
The San Diego, Calif., native’s 16 career goals are the most by a Wildcat over a two-year span since Addie Steiner in 2014-15 (17) and most by an NU underclassman since Kelsey Hans in 2004-05 (21).
The Wildcats open the 2026 campaign with an early-season test at 2025 NCAA Tournament No. 1 seed and Round of 16 participant Virginia on Wednesday, August 12 at 6 p.m. CT on ACCNX.
