Lake Show Honored with Multiple IWLCA Academic Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – 14 members of the 2026 National Champion Northwestern roster were named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association 2026 Academic Honor Roll, the IWLCA announced Wednesday. Each student-athlete was honored for a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater and had be a junior, senior, or graduate student.

Northwestern was also named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2025-26 school year, as the team posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the entire year.

Junior midfielder Lauren Archer, senior goalie Francesca Argentieri, graduate student midfielder Annabel Child, graduate student goalie Jenika Cuocco, senior attacker Maddie Epke, junior midfielder Taylor Lapointe, senior attacker Lucy Munro, graduate student goalie Cara Nugent, junior defender Talia Reading, senior midfielder Jaylen Rosga, senior attacker Madison Taylor, junior attacker Alexis Ventresca, senior attacker Rachel Weiner and senior defender Kathryn Welch were all named to the Academic Honor Roll.

The Wildcats finished the legendary 2026 season as national champions, going 19-3 (7-1 Big Ten) and securing the program’s ninth national title on their home turf of Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. The ’Cats defeated North Carolina in front of a record 8,316 spectators back in May.
