EVANSTON, Ill. – Sophomore forward/midfielder Alex Fallon, senior midfielder Caterina Regazzoni and sophomore forward Kennedy Roesch were named to the 2025 Big Ten Women's Soccer Players to Watch List, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. The honor marks the third consecutive season Regazzoni has been named to the list, while Roesch and Fallon are making their first appearances. A native of Zurich, Switzerland, Regazzoni is coming off a three-goal, three-assist junior season, both of which matched career highs. In 2022, Regazzoni earned Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Third Team All-Big Ten honors, anchoring the Wildcat midfield in a record-breaking season that saw the 'Cats advance to the Third Round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Over three seasons in Evanston, Regazzoni has made 59 starts, tallying nine goals and seven assists.

Roesch enters her sophomore year in Evanston this fall after a stellar first season of collegiate action in which she led Northwestern in goals (six) and points (14). She became the first Wildcat to lead the program in scoring as a first-year since 2010. In her collegiate debut against Boston University last August, she recorded a game-winning goal in Northwestern's 3-2 win. It was one of two games last season in which she recorded both a goal and an assist.

Also a sophomore, Fallon started seven games in an injury-shortened debut season with Northwestern last fall. She logged one goal, two assists and four points.

Northwestern was picked to finish 14th in the 18-team Big Ten's Preseason Coaches Poll. The Wildcats open the 2025 campaign on Thursday, August 14 at Loyola Chicago.
