Wildcats Add East Carolina to 2027 Schedule

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern football will host East Carolina at Ryan Field on September 18, 2027, the two programs announced on Tuesday.
The matchup will mark the first-ever meeting between the Wildcats and Pirates.
The game adds to a future slate that will welcome fans to the state-of-the-art New Ryan Field, set to open in 2026. All current and new season ticket holders will continue to receive priority for seating selections in the new stadium. To learn more and become an Insider, visit www.newryanfield.com.
Before then, the Wildcats will open the 2025 campaign on Saturday, August 30, when they travel to New Orleans to face Tulane at 11 a.m. CT on ESPNU. Northwestern's 2025 schedule features seven home contests, with the first five taking place at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium – the temporary on-campus facility along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The final two home games will be played at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Tickets for the 2025 season are on sale now.
