EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern women's soccer announced the addition of Selma Sol Sigurjonsdottir to its 2025 roster.

Sigurjonsdottir joins the Wildcats from Hafnarfjordur, Iceland, where she played for FH, Haukar and ÍH, scoring 16 goals in 82 appearances across all competitions. In 2024, she was named as a player to keep an eye on in the Besta Deildin by Vísir.

"I chose Northwestern because of what I will gain by being a Wildcat," she said. "Being a Wildcat means I will receive a great degree in a top-tier academic environment, be a part of an elite team that will take my soccer abilities to the next level, form lifelong friendships and belong to a vibrant community that I will be proud to call my home."

Northwestern will begin the 2025 season in August. For more updates on Northwestern women's soccer, follow the Wildcats on Twitter and Instagram at @nuwsoccer.
