EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern Women's Tennis (4-4) continues its busy February this Sunday, hosting UIC (2-2) and Milwaukee (4-5) for a doubleheader at Combe Tennis Center. The 'Cats take on the Flames Sunday morning at 10 a.m. CT, then welcome in the Panthers for a 4 p.m. CT showdown.

Northwestern is coming off a tough slate at the ITA Indoor Team Championships, where they played a trio of top-15 opponents at Combe. The 'Cats fought then-No. 4 Stanford closely last Saturday, taking the doubles point and a straight-set victory from Sydney Pratt at No. 5 singles before the Cardinal eventually won out. Pratt went 3-1 overall during the tournament, winning a pair of doubles matches alongside Erica Jessel.

Another of the 'Cats' doubles pairings, Mika Dagan Fruchtman and Britany Lau, enter the weekend at No. 64 in the ITA doubles rankings. Dating back to the start of the fall, the pair is 10-6 overall.

UIC enters Combe Tennis Center with two wins under its belt, defeating Marquette on January 24 and holding Roosevelt scoreless on February 6. Northwestern leads the all-time series against the Flames 10-2 after a 7-0 victory in their last matchup in January of 2023.

After UIC, the 'Cats will face a 4-5 Milwaukee squad. The Panthers close their weekend at Northwestern after dropping matches to UIC on Friday and St. Thomas on Saturday. It will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs after Northwestern won a 7-0 sweep over Milwaukee in 2018.

Following the completion of the doubleheader, Northwestern will finish its homestand with an afternoon match against Vanderbilt next Friday at 4 p.m. CT. The Wildcats will then travel to Kansas on Sunday to take on the Jayhawks in their final non-conference dual matchup before transitioning to Big Ten play.
