Women's Tennis Inks Signee Färber

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern women's tennis has signed Philippa Färber, head coach Claire Pollard announced on Tuesday. Färber, out of Germany, will join the Wildcats next fall in Evanston.

"It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Philippa to our program," said Pollard. "She is an ambitious and driven person with a contagious charisma. We can't wait to watch her grow, thrive and shine for the 'Cats!"

Färber will arrive at Northwestern after an accomplished juniors career that included an array of awards and distinctions. Alongside five German Championships, she has represented her country on the National team since 2020. Ranked No. 168 in the ITF Junior Rankings, she has collected three ITF juniors singles titles and a silver medal at the European Youth Olympic Games in 2022.

High School: ITF Junior ranking of No. 168… five-time German Champion, including one doubles title… won three ITF Juniors Titles in singles… won five ITF Juniors Titles in doubles… silver medalist at the Youth European Olympic Games in 2022… got her first points for the ITF women's tennis tour in 2025… anticipated major is economics.
